Our deputation... During the summer of 2000 we began deputation full time. We set
the goal of two years to finish our deputation and begin language school. In six months' time we were right on track with 25% of our support raised. One year out and about had 50% of the much needed funds coming in. In May of 2001, God blessed us through a couple of our supporting churches with a 1998 GMC Safari van to continue our deputation. We believe that God will enable us to be at 75% come the first months of 2002.
Our testimonies... I was a bus kid who was saved and baptized through the ministry of my home church, Calvary Baptist, and my pastor Bro. Tom Huntress. Tammy grew up in a Christian home, her parents involved in full-time ministry. She was saved and baptized as a young girl. We both felt the call to missions from our youth.
Our service... I served in the bus ministry, soul-winning, and choir as a teenager at Calvary Baptist. While in Bible college I served at Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, under Bob Smith in these same ministries as well as working with the youth, teaching the seventh grade boys, and preaching on the street and in two nursing homes.
Upon graduation in 1998 from the Norris Bible Baptist Institute in Fort Worth, we served as Associate Pastor at our home church for two years in preparation for the ministry of our calling: church planting on the foreign mission field.
